It had been a year or two since I began my seminary studies (1989) in the Qom Seminary when I noticed that a group of students from the school, who had cultural concerns, had gathered together to do something. But interestingly, they did not want to start an activity like what is common today. They felt that they needed to study in this field. I tried hard to become a member of this group.

At that time, Seyyed Mohammad Reza Davati was the head of the group. To be honest, I don’t remember the details, but eventually, after a few sessions when these friends went to Tehran and came back, and had meetings with Mr. Rahmandoust, Mr. Avini was introduced to them. I also managed to be present in this group from the very first session they had with Mr. Avini.
